Maroni Hot Pots | Italian Restaurant

Penne Ala Vodka (with Shrimp)

This past weekend I had one of the most fabulous date nights that consisted of a scrumptious Italian dinner, dessert bar, movie, and a full night of dancing. Daniel discovered this awesome Italian restaurant where they serve your pasta dish in the cutest little red pot (see picture above). My favorite classic dish to order at any Italian restaurant is some sort of pasta with any kind of seafood. The added garlic bread stick was rich in flavor and very much appreciated. Our food arrived in an average amount of time and every second waited was well worth it.

With only two dollar signs ($$) on Yelp.com I think this place is more on the affordable side of spectrum if you only opt for an entree. Each entree dish ranges between $18-$22 and may be shareable depending on how hungry you are. I of course was starving that night so decided to order my own pasta dish while Daniel ordered "Grandma Maroni's Meatballs with Spaghetti" and that too was very delicious. As you can see from the picture above, the menu is not extensive by any means but they do have a lot of great options that I was undecided between the Chicken Parmesan and Penne Ala Vodka.

To top off my dinner I ordered a Pinot Grigio that went well with my dinner. The great thing about this place was their customer service and ambiance. This place is intimate and not noisy so having a conversation is very much doable. The only downside about this place is that they did take a really long time in giving us our check but that may have been our own fault since we did not ask for it once they had taken away our plates. Even though it did take time to receive our check, Daniel and I took that opportunity to talk since during dinner we were just too involved in our food since it really was delicious.

Although I did not have a chance to try out their appetizers or dessert, I give this restaurant a rate of 10/10. You can check them out on their website HERE.

Fun fact: If you order takeout form this place, they actually deliver your pasta dish in a pot and you have an option of keeping the pot or returning it cleaned for $4 off your next order. Take out menu.

It finally feels like Spring! Spring has finally sprung here in New York City and I could not be happier. This past weekend, Daniel and I went out on an adventure to the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH). My latest shopping spree happened 3 weeks ago at the new Primark store that opened up in Staten Island, NY. My choker ($2.50), top ($10), and shoes ($15) are form Primark. My jeans are from Cello and here I am sporting my Michael Kors, Small Ava handbag.

I learned about Primark via Youtube Hauls based in the UK and noticed they were opening one near me. Everything you find is affordable ranging from $3 - $15. I believe the most I spent was around $15 on the shoes pictured above. I received so many compliments while exploring the museum and even had someone ask me where my shoes were from. I would say the only downfall of Primark is their location as it is a two hour public transportation trip form where I live. A simple but very efficient tip I would give is to be careful on not to get sucked into their super low prices since you can easily end up with a cart worth $260!!!

I cannot wait to go back and check out their summer clothing!

If you want to find you nearest Primark store click here. I am very pleased with my purchase and if you would like to see more of what I bought then check out my YouTube video.
