NYC Restaurant Week 2017

The week everyone, or at least all the foodies, have been waiting for is finally here! NYC Restaurant week is highly anticipated by everyone during the summer months, it is a way for people to dine lavishly without breaking the bank. Over 300 restaurants ranging from $$$-$$$$ participate in a 3-week deal of prix fixe menus for brunch, lunch and dinner. Prices are set for each meal from $29 for a 3-course brunch/ lunch, and $49 for a 3-course dinner meal. I find that restaurant week in NYC during the summer is the most anticipated event in NYC because people have the opportunity to try out different restaurants that are rather more expensive than the average restaurant. Lunch is a lot cheaper than dinner so sometimes you will find that the restaurant you have been wanting to try out does not participate in a prix fixe lunch deal.

If you are in NYC then you have until August 18th to check out this amazing food deal at any participating restaurant. Discover the wonderful restaurants that participate via this link:

Below are my top choices for restaurant week:

1. Felice

This classic Italian restaurant offers brunch, lunch and dinner Mon-Fri, Sunday brunch/lunch/dinner and conveniently is located in both the Upper East Side and the Financial District area. I highly recommend the Salmone for your entree.

2. The Capital Grille

This Steakhouse is one I have not been to yet (but will soon
!) but I hear amazing things from everyone who has dined here! The Capital Grill conveniently has various locations throughout Midtown and the Lower East Side area. The Capital Grille currently only has their special pricing Mon-Fri for both Lunch and Dinner. I cannot wait to try their New England Clam Chowder, their Signature Cheeseburger or Dry Aged Sirloin, and of course their Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake.

3. Fogo de Chão Churrascaria Brazilian Steakhouse

This Brazillian Steakhouse was something I had to get used to. I dined here for Restaurant Week and was not a fan at first. They have an unlimited salad bar where you can pick out as many things as you'd like. I opted for their quinoa lentil salad, apple salad, rice and black beans. Their meats were a bit too different and I felt as though I was eating every kind of animal and had no idea what anything was. I would only recommend this place for extreme meat lovers who have an appreciation for steak and other meat cravings such as lamb, chicken sausage, chicken wrapped in bacon, etc. I did however love their plantains and garlic mashed potatoes which were unlimited! Fogo only has one located in NYC and it is located in Midtown on West 53rd street.

All the restaurants mentioned have received high reviews from people who have been there for Restaurant Week so reservations are highly recommended! I hope you all liked this post because now I am hungry!
