Harlem Shake | Best Burgers in Harlem

Travel back in time at this Harlem diner that offers an old school diner setting blended with retro Harlem photos all while enjoying scrumptious burgers, fries and shakes.

Harlem Shake is located on 124th street in the heart of Central Harlem. Their interior design focuses on Harlem's culture and community as well as displaying their "Hall of Fame" autographed portraits of notable celebrities like P.Diddy, ASAP Rocky, Maya Angelou, and more.

During the holiday's I ventured out into Harlem on a weekday to grab lunch with my mentee. This was my first time at Harlem Shake and I was blown away by their interior design and the friendliness of the staff members. This is for sure a hot spot in town as there were people entering and leaving at all times. I would say the average wait to get a table is around 15 minutes which is not too bad considering I had arrived for lunch. Their MENU consists of everything from salads to shakes. They even have veggie options such as veggie burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, fruit salads, and more.

Since this was my first time at Harlem Shake, I opted for their Harlem Classic Burger, Regular Fries, and a Chocolate Harlem Shake. I did not expect much from the burger since I am a huge fan of Shake Shack, but this burger has got to be the best burger I have ever tried. All of their burgers contain their most famous "special sauce" which is a win in my book. The burger is so filling that I strongly suggest sharing an order of fries and opting for a soft beverage instead of a shake. Their chocolate shake was average and dense that I could not consume both the shake and fries in one sitting. I definitely would like to come back here during brunch with my friends and devour another order of their burgers and fries.
