Chenille's Comeback

The 90's called....

This Fall/Winter, Chenille made a fierce comeback that all fashionistas cannot get enough of. Chenille has been in everyone's closet ranging from over sized sweaters, cardigans, robes, dresses, and even accessories. I too fell victim to the chenille trend and bought a couple pieces that are now a staple in my wardrobe. The first piece is an over sized knotted chenille sweater from BP at Nordstrom

Chenille Sweater | High Rise Skinny Jeans | Carlos by Carlos Santana Boots

This chenille sweater is both comfortable but sexy at the same time. It has a low v-neck and is twisted at the center to show off the waist. My favorite way to wear this sweater is with a pair of high waist jeans since I feel like it flatters my body shape and hides more of my stomach area that I do not want to show. This sweater runs large so I opted for an XS and I feel like it still has a lot of room (especially to hide that food baby). I bought this during their Black Friday sale and scored this for $29. Unfortunately this is no longer available but I have found a couple from Nordstrom that are similar.

This next item is a Chenille-Knit Open-Front Cardigan created for Macy's by Style & Co. I originally tried this on in store before their Black Friday sale. I immediately fell in love with the fit and style of this sweater but did not purchase at the time since it was not on sale (original price is $79.50). A week after Black Friday I saw this sweater on sale for $40 in store and to my surprise it was selling for $17.99 online!

This is the perfect winter cardigan because it is the right amount of thickness, it flatters my petite frame (I got this in a Petite XS), it hits at arms length so there is no need to roll up the sleeves, and it has pockets!!!! Currently you can get this sweater for $29.99 with code LOVE. This cardigan hits 3 inches above my knee which is good considering it is supposed to hit at mid thigh #extrapetiteproblems. I have linked similar sweaters for non-petite frames:

Let me know in the comments down below if you went crazy for the Chenille trend this season. Cannot wait for Spring/Summer!
